The Coconut Collection

Adam Curtis Online are proud to launch their first own-brand yarn range in a colourful selection of contemporary summer shades.

Through my career in the wool industry, I have developed a wide variety of yarns and each one has qualities that I try keep unique to that range.  Recently, I decided to do my own yarn range in memory of my late son and so I sought the assistance of my wife and parents to help add those extra special touches.Affectionately named The Coconut Collection, the range is made up of four light-worsted/DK yarns made in the UK from British Wool. The Coconut Collection Yarn 2019So why The Coconut Collection?  My son arrived into this world prematurely and while he survived his initial journey, unfortunate circumstances saw him leave us after a heart wrenching 38 hours.Coconut knitting yarn heartWe decided to name our baby boy Coconut, as this was his nickname during my wife’s pregnancy and the first name he responded to when I met him in hospital. The timing of our pregnancy would suggest that our boy was conceived on our honeymoon in Hawaii.HawaiiThe stunning Hawaiian beaches were the main inspiration behind our shade selection for which we chose a few ourselves before asking for suggestions from a number of our wonderful Twitter followers.  From a brilliant shortlist, we put together the collection. The four shades are: Salty Kisses, Ocean DreamCoral Daze and one that was always going to feature, Coconut Milk.Coconut Milk knitting yarnCoral Daze knitting yarnSalty Kisses knitting yarnOcean Dream knitting yarn Yarn Specs:
